PIETRO BONFILIO
Pietro Bonfilio was born in Scansano a small village of Tuscany (Italy) in 1990.
He Graduated at “Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi” in Milan and completed a Master’s degree in performance at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. During the years of studies he had the chance to deepen the study of music with several musician as Vincenzo Balzani, Lang Lang, Michele Campanella, Victor Sangiorgio, Jean ‐Marc Luisada, Giuseppe Andaloro.
He has performed in the USA (Carnegie Hall in New York, NYU and Cornell University), London, Israel (Jerusalem Music Centre, Tel Aviv Conservatoire of Music), in various cities of Sweden, Norway, Germany (Berlin Ernst Reuter Saal), France, Scotland (Royal Concert Hall of Glasgow), Romania (Bucharest Athenaeum, Neamt Piano Festival), Mexico (Centro Cultural Bicentenario in Mexico City), Cambodia (Phnom Penh Piano Festival), Honk Kong (Youth Teather), Thailand (Bangkok Piano Festival, Sala Sudasiri Sobha), Turkey.
He has played in various Italian cities, in particular in Florence’s Salone dei Cinquecento of Palazzo Vecchio, at Palazzo Albrizzi in Venice, in Naples at Villa Pignatelli-Rothschild and at Teatro Civico in Como.
He performed as a soloist with Luxembourg Philharmonia Orchestra, Mexico State Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra “Mihail Jora” Bacau, Orchestra Sinfonica Rossini Pesaro, Grosseto Symphony Orchestra, with Reggio Calabria “Francesco Cilea” Orchestra, Milli Reasurans Orchestra Istanbul.
In 2017 has been released a CD for the dutch label Brilliant Classics dedicated to the Russian composer Dimitri Kabalevsky and in 2019 has been released a CD dedicated to the Russian 19th century for the label Suonare Records.
